Fontasso is the Font Book for iOS, enabling you to see the installed fonts in one place and helping you to install fonts. We don’t fingerprint your device, track you, sell your data or track you across other apps.

What stays on your device

Your fonts, settings, folders, and diagnostic log (if you turn it on).

The log is only ever shared if you choose to send it to us. Fontasso can’t see anything outside the selected folder.

What can leave your device

Crash reports

On by default and data is only collected if the app crashes, the app sends technical details so we can fix it. We do not collect your name, email, or which fonts you viewed. Fontasso uses Crashlytics without any personal identifiers configured.

Usage stats

On by default, we collect anonymous info about which screens, features and actions you use, under a random ID that isn’t tied to you - see TelemetryDeck info below. Google/Apple font names may be included (as they’re public); fonts from your own files folder are not named.

To update in either the Settings.app › Fontasso › Send Usage Analytics or in the app settings.

Retention and Removal

Retention:

• Analytics data - 30 days
• Crash data - 90 days

Removal: we don’t retain personal data or device associated data and as such there is no account / device data to delete.

What we don’t do

Sell or share your data or track you across other apps or websites.

TelemetryDeck

Use of TelemetryDeck to analyze app usage

We use the privacy-friendly analytics service TelemetryDeck (provider: TelemetryDeck GmbH, Von-der-Tann-Str. 54, 86159 Augsburg, Germany) to analyze usage data. The use is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, as we require reliable and efficient tools for collecting app usage data in order to fulfill the contract with you, our customer.

What data is transferred?

The data processed by TelemetryDeck is completely anonymized and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about personal information.

The following data is collected, among other things:

• an anonymized, untraceable user ID (per app installation),
• actions defined by the app publisher (e.g., “app launched,” “settings opened”),
• a rounded timestamp (to the nearest hour),
• device metadata (e.g., system version, app version, device type),
• additional metadata defined by the app publisher (e.g., “number of items in the database”).

What is not stored?

• No IP addresses (not in logs, not in the database),
• No cookies or tracking technologies,
• no persistent identifiers that could be traced back to individuals.
